Empowering Women, One Roadblock at a Time, N12 Rio Casino,This morning in strong support of Women’s Month, Rio Casino, in collaboration with the City of Matlosana Public Safety Directorate and Chatz Connect Vodacom, hosted a vibrant and impactful Women’s Day Roadblock this morning along the N12 near Rio Casino.More than just a routine checkpoint, this initiative aimed to honour, empower, and uplift women, while creating awareness around key social issues. Women motorists and passengers were warmly welcomed by female officers and stakeholders, who were at the forefront of the operation, turning the roadblock into a moment of connection, education, and community spirit.Participants were offered the opportunity to check their outstanding traffic fines, an eye-opener for many who appreciated the chance to take accountability and get informed in a non-judgmental environment. In addition, informational pamphlets were handed out, focusing on mental health support, as well as awareness and resources around Gender-Based Violence.This roadblock served as a reminder that Women’s Month is not just about celebration, it’s about providing tools, knowledge, and access to support systems that protect and empower women every day.The collaborative effort highlighted how public and private sectors can come together to create meaningful change, not just through enforcement, but through empathy and education.#communitysupport #changinglives #womensupportingwomen
